As of December 2025, Roadie had 310,000 delivery drivers in the United States1. Roadie provides major retail stores the opportunity to offer same-day and next-day delivery. Roadie drivers pick up the items and deliver them the last mile (or 100+ miles) to the customer’s door.
The pay for Roadie deliveries depends on the individual store or retail chain’s agreement with Roadie. If the store itself is paying the delivery charge, you can expect the base pay to be crap. If the customer is paying for the delivery, the base pay will be much better. As an example, if Home Depot is paying for the delivery of a box of nails, the base pay would usually be around $7. If the customer is paying for the delivery, base pay could be $17-$18.
Retailers such as Home Depot and Tractor Supply have incorporated Roadie delivery into their shopping carts. When checking out, customers have the option of receiving same-day or next-day delivery. The delivery fees range from $9.95 to $79.95 and more depending on the size and weight of the items in the order. Roadie then takes its cut of the delivery charge and passes the rest onto the driver.
List of Stores Roadie Drivers Deliver From

- CVS Pharmacy
- CVS Retail Checkout
- Delta Airlines
- Lowe’s
- PetSmart
- Southwest Airlines
- Statim RX
- The Home Depot
- Tractor Supply
- U-Haul
- Walmart
- Local Companies and Personal Deliveries
Advance Auto Parts
In most cases Advance Auto deliveries are Express and need to be delivered ASAP. Repair shops diagnose what parts are needed for a customer’s car and order them from Advance. In many cases the customer is waiting at the repair shop for their car to be fixed, thus the need for quick delivery.
Deliveries from Advance Auto Parts surge faster than any other store from which Roadies deliver. You might see an order for $22, and ten minutes later it’s $33, then $45, then even more. In these situations, chances are the repair shop is willing pay whatever it costs to get the parts ASAP. In the long run the customer ends up paying the delivery charge so the repair shop really doesn’t care what it costs.
Best Buy
Best Buy deliveries require you to have the Trusted Driver badge. If you’re not sure what this badge is, check out our article on Roadie Badges Explained. Not having the Trusted Driver badge is one of the reasons why most newbies get frustrated with the Roadie gig matching system. If you don’t have the Trusted Driver badge, you can submit bids on 20 Best Buy deliveries and won’t be accepted for any of them.
Best Buy deliveries are usually sent out in batches. You might have 3 deliveries or 20. The items range from small envelopes to large TVs and small appliances. Be sure to check the list of packages you’ll be picking up. Best Buy lists the dimensions and weight of each item but doesn’t include a description stating what the items are. On the offer screen they also show the length of the longest item, the overall weight of the entire batch, and the total number of items.
Don’t worry about Best Buy batches because chances are won’t be doing any. Check out the horrible base pay for a recent Best Buy batch we noticed that was still available 9 hours after it was first posted. This comes out to less than 40 cents per mile.

CVS Pharmacy
In most cities, Roadie drivers love CVS Pharmacy orders. While writing this article we scanned the available Roadie deliveries in a few cities across the country. It appears as if there’s a CVS on every street corner. Some drivers love the pharmacy deliveries because you can bang out one after another.
If you haven’t yet done a Roadie pharmacy order, you’ll need to complete the Pharmacy certification. On the offer screen there will be a link to complete the certification. If you want to get ahead of the game, you can become certified before offering on a Pharmacy gig. In the Roadie app you’ll find the Certifications & Badges tab under your driver information.
The biggest pitfall with CVS Pharmacy orders is that the customer must be home to sign for the delivery. If the customer isn’t available, you’ll need to return the order the CVS where you picked it up.

CVS Retail Checkout
CVS Retail Checkout deliveries as super easy. If there are enough CVS stores in your area, you could make a decent living by just running CVS orders, both Pharmacy and Retail Checkout. The Retail Checkout deliveries contain items that the store has ready for delivery. Just scan the label on the package(s) and head off to deliver. A typical delivery might include soda, vitamins, toilet paper or food items but will never include a prescription.
One benefit of the CVS Retail Checkout gigs is that they’re known for astronomical surges. A delivery that started at $7.68 might surge to $35 or more before some lucky SOB snags it. Of course, if you’re in an area that’s oversaturated with Roadie drivers then someone will probably take the delivery before it’s even had a chance to surge.

Delta Airlines
Did you know airlines sometimes lose luggage? What a shocker! You’ll be the hero who delivers the lost luggage to the rightful owner. Most major airlines use Roadie to return lost luggage to passengers. The pay is usually crap. The delivery notes will direct you to the pickup location of the airline. The silver lining of airport gigs is that you are reimbursed for parking if there’s nowhere else available.

Lowe’s
Technically Lowe’s doesn’t deliver through Roadie. Lowe’s uses a logistics company called OneRail Integrations for deliveries. In turn, OneRail uses Roadie drivers to make the deliveries. If you see a delivery listed as OneRail Integrations, click on the delivery and chances are the pickup location is a Lowe’s.
Most Lowe’s deliveries from OneRail are huge and often require a pickup truck or trailer. OneRail isn’t integrated with Roadie so the Lowe’s employee won’t have your driver picture or even your name. Be prepared to show your ID to the Lowe’s employee in order to pick up the order.

OneRail Integrations
See the above information on Lowe’s. OneRail Integrations is the company Lowe’s uses for deliveries but the drivers are scheduled through Roadie.
PetSmart
PetSmart deliveries pay almost as little as Best Buy. Orders are batched together, often exceeding 100 miles. While preparing this article we were going to screenshot a PetSmart batch going 163 miles but someone took it before we could grab the screenshot. The pay was $63.
If you’re considering taking a PetSmart batch, be sure to check the list of items. Many of their items are 50-pound bags of pet food. Some of the large dog crates will require a large SUV even though they’re in a flat box.
BEWARE OF MULTIPLE PICKUPS. We were lucky enough to grab the screenshot below before a driver snatched the delivery. Notice that it has multiple pickups. That means you’ll have to pickup from at least two different PetSmart locations.
The delivery in the screenshot below is further evidence of why we say the Roadie base pay has gone to crap. Even if you’re lucky enough to not get stuck in traffic picking up from at least two different PetSmarts, the pay is $43.66 with an estimated delivery time of almost 3 hours. That’s barely $14.50 per hour. If you’re willing to drive 92 miles knowing upfront that you’ll be earning only $14.50 hour then you’ll love PetSmart batches.

Southwest Airlines
See the information on Delta Airlines above. For Southwest deliveries you’ll be picking up luggage from the airline and delivering it to the passenger.

Statim RX
Statim RX is a logistics company that specializes in nationwide prescription deliveries. We’ve seen these deliveries in the middle of the night when there’s nothing else available on Roadie. You’ll pick up the prescriptions and deliver them to the customer. Like all pharmacy deliveries (except Walmart), you’ll need to get the customer’s signature. If the customer isn’t available, you’ll have to return the prescription to wherever you picked it up. Check the instructions included with the individual gig before you put in a bid because many Statim RX deliveries clearly state NO RETURNS.

The Home Depot
We could tell you all day long that most Home Depot deliveries suck but sometimes seeing is believing. Checkout the screenshot below of a recent delivery available on Roadie. 32 miles with an estimated completion time of 55 minutes for $15.98. If you’re willing to drive for 50 cents per mile then Roadie just might be the gig for you. Be sure to check out the other screenshots above and below to see how the Home Depot gig pay compares to other retailers.
Home Depot orders can be small, medium, large, XL, or Huge. This is the main reason why Roadie has you list your vehicle in the app. In theory they won’t accept your bid for a delivery that won’t fit in your vehicle. Small orders usually fit in a shoebox. Huge orders often require a trailer. Home Depot is known for including the boxed dimensions of items such as gas grills and lawnmowers but the item is fully assembled. The dimensions might be 45″x26″x22″ but the store rolls out a fully assembled 5-burner gas grill. They list the dimensions of the item in the box, not the dimensions of the fully assembled item.
BEWARE OF THE PENCIL. Home Depot has mystery orders we call the pencil. The item you’re picking up will be listed as a pencil. It’s usually a clearance item for which the store doesn’t list the actual dimensions. It’s typically listed as 1″x1″x6″. The item could be anything in the store including 14-foot decking, lumber, a sliding patio door, or a fully assembled gas grill.

Tractor Supply
Deliveries from Tractor Supply usually pay better than Best Buy or PetSmart batches but not by much. Usually you have to pick up the order from the Customer Service Desk. There are no labels to scan. Load the order in your car and take a picture to confirm pickup. If there are multiple deliveries batched together then you should take a picture of each order separately.
Be sure to check the items in every Tractor Supply delivery before putting in a bid. Many of their deliveries include 50-pound bags of pet food. Some deliveries require a trailer and pallet jack or forklift. If you spot a delivery listed as 2560 pounds it’s a full pallet of pet food or a pallet of wood pellets. If you and/or the customer doesn’t have a pallet jack or forklift, you’ll have to unload all 50 bags yourself.
Notice that the delivery in the screenshot below is listed as X-Large. It’s only $30.50, going 25 miles, and expected to take almost an hour. Unless you click the link to View All Items you wouldn’t know this item in this delivery is a fully assembled woodstove that wouldn’t fit in most cars.

U-Haul
Most U-Haul deliveries are packing boxes. The boxes are flat, which means they’re huge. Their wardrobe box barely fits in a large SUV or pickup truck. This order in the screenshot below is 27 shipping boxes of various sizes but the total weight is only 38 pounds. Boxes are easy to handle as long as you’re sure they’ll fit in your vehicle.

Walmart
Deliveries from Walmart are not the same across all gig platforms. Nationwide Walmart uses its own delivery gig called Spark, Roadie, and Uber Eats. We’ve heard that Walmarts in certain regions use Uber Connect but the service isn’t available in all areas.
Year-round most Walmarts use Roadie solely for oversized general merchandise. The items vary so much it’s almost funny looking at the gig offers. You might be delivering a rake or long curtain rod listed as weighing 1 pound. You might be picking up a 180-pound gas grill, garbage can, or anything in between. Be sure to check the measurements of the item(s) before submitting a bid on any Walmart delivery.
On the up side, Walmart usually has one of the quickest response times for accepting Roadie bids. While Roadie may take 30+ minutes to let you know if you’ve been accepted for other gigs, it seems like Walmart offers take only a few minutes.
During the holiday rush season when all delivery services are slammed, Walmart is known for putting grocery deliveries on Roadie. The offer will state 1 item but it’s an entire order of groceries. You have no way of knowing how many bags of groceries are in the order or if there are heavy items like 40-packs of water or 44-pound bags of dog food.

Local Companies and Personal Deliveries
Roadie also delivers for smaller companies across the country. Roadie also allows customers to schedule deliveries of personal goods. Be sure to always check the list of items and read every word in the description. As a real-life example that we saw posted on Roadie, the customer moved and accidentally left some of their furniture in the basement. The customer wanted a Roadie driver to pick up a sectional sofa, chest freezer, and snowblower, then deliver it to them nearly 300 miles away. The $323 delivery pay including a $50 tip. Upfront it seemed like a decent delivery until you realized the size of the 3 items and the fact that it was 600 miles round trip.
