The Crew Behind The Admin Tags

We are a group of seasoned gig workers who have been doing various gig jobs since 2016. Combined we have 49 years experience with gig jobs. While most of us have tried just about every gig that crossed our paths, we’ve mostly stuck with Uber and DoorDash. Our founder and Chief Admin has us all beat. He’s tried Amazon Flex, Curri, DoorDash, Grubhub, Instacart, Lyft, Point Pickup (now defunct), Postmates, Roadie, Spark, Uber, Uber Eats, and UPS as a Seasonal Support Driver.

There’s an old adage saying you should do what you love and love what you do. To most people work and jobs are synonymous. Working a job is what you do to pay the bills. If you think gig jobs are “work” then you haven’t yet found the right gig. LOVE IT OR YOU’LL LEAVE IT.

Our Admins do not have profile pictures or our names listed publicly for a reason. We’re shy! Not really. Most of us are active gig workers and don’t want to wake up to deactivation simply because we referred to DoorTrash or said Walmart sucks. Once you figure out the right blend of gigs and are earning over $100K/year, you’ll understand the need for privacy and that ingrained fear of deactivation.

We decided to create this site to help other gig workers find their groove. Let’s be realistic. The base pay for all gig platforms has gone to crap. It’s corporate greed and putting profits over people. We do all the work and the corporations reward us by paying less and less. Today I checked the available gigs on Amazon Flex, Roadie, DoorDash, Spark, and Instacart. Most of the delivery-only gigs were paying around 40 cents per mile. The IRS allows us to deduct almost twice that for mileage. A 60-mile delivery batch for $24 means more like 80 miles round trip. Our deductible “cost” for delivering that batch would be $56. The corporations don’t care. Next month the same batch will be paying even less.
